What is Mystery /Secret Shopping? |
| Hindsight is one of dozens of "Mystery Shopping" companies involved in providing evaluations for 'Customer Service Orientated Companies.' Most companies specialize in casinos, retail, real estate, food service, wireless and many other CUSTOMER ORIENTATED BUSINESSES. These companies perform buy and return, cleanliness, spot checks and sales knowledge evaluations. Hindsight currently performs evaluations across the United States, Canada and Mexico. |
| The job of a "Mystery Shopper" is to visit a specific operation as a regular customer and describe the events you witness. You will complete a customized report for each operation detailing the events, both positive and negative. You will also be informed or given a summary of the specific companies standard operating procedures, i.e. what the employees are supposed to be doing, so you will know what to look for. |
| Once completed, reports must be faxed or e-mailed within 24 hours. This allows us time to verify the information, process the reports and get them back to the clients in a timely manner. |
| Shoppers are reimbursed for their purchases and may be paid a fee for completing each assignment, assuming the reports are complete, on time and of good quality. All shoppers are paid at the end of the following month. |
| All shoppers are Independent Contractors and will sign a contract stating such before any assignment can be issued. As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for reporting any income to the IRS. Hindsight is required to submit a 1099 to the IRS for any shopper making over $600.00 in fees during the calendar year. As an Independent Contractor, you can work for as many companies as you wish, and accept or deny any assignments that you wish. However, once an assignment is accepted, we expect you to complete it. |
